Visiting NY'er looking for dinner near Millenium Park

fishermb May 29, 2013 07:07 AM

I am coming from NYC to Chicago in about a month for a wedding and will have 1 dinner free. Looking for anything within a 30 minute walk of Millenium Park for a Thursday night. Does not need to be fancy, preference is for Italian, French or American

Sable offers terrific contemporary American small plates and craft cocktails - www.sablechicago.com

Mercat a la Planxa for tapas - www.mercatchicago.com

    The best nearby choices for Italian are Piccolo Sogno Due ( www.piccolosognodue.com ), tesori ( www.tesorichicago.com ), and Vivere ( www.vivere-chicago.com ).

For French, Everest is high-end (formal, expensive) contemporary French-Alsatian - www.everestrestaurant.com Another good choice, upscale but not quite as high-end, is Carrie Nahabedian's new restaurant, Brindille - www.brindille-chicago.com
