Austin: Texas Culinary Academy

I had a pretty good lunch at the TXCA's public dining room so I thought I'd share it with this board.
I went in having no expectations having never eaten at anything similar. The food was quite good and the dishes were pretty elaborate for lunch. I had an appetizer of mussels in white wine sauce along with some trout cooked in butter sauce. My companions had sea-bass over asian vegetable stir fry, french onion soup, and seafood crepes. We all enjoyed the meal. My trout wasn't overly remarkable, but was quite tasty. And the dinner is pretty cheap. Entrees are $7-9 and appetizers $3-5 where your tip goes to the TXCA scholarship fund. There's also a winelist, but I didn't look at it. Your waitstaff are chefs-in-training so they aren't the greatest, but they seemed to be trying their hardest.
It's a smallish place (20-25 tables) basically on the IBM campus in the Burnet/Mopac area. I think it's opened for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Fridays.
All in all, I recommend it if you are looking for a different, nice lunch or dinner in Far North Austin.
