Looking for gluten-free friendly, casual dining in DC proper

dinaofdoom May 26, 2013 03:52 PM

Hello Folks,

Longtime Boston and Austin Hound here. We'll be spending the next week in DC. I've scoped the boards, Eater, Serious Eats and Thrillist so I've got bookmarks galore. But, recommendations from locals are always best.

Any suggestions for:

•Gluten-free friendly
•Staying in Dupont Circle (Topaz Hotel)
•Traveling companion won't eat Ethiopian
•No Mexican or Tex-Mex, as I get plenty in Austin
•Entrees in the $20 range for dinner, less for lunch
•Keeping to DC proper, except for a day at Monticello
•Doing Rasika (which I know is pricier) for the last dinner

    Cava Mezza Grill
    Agoura
    Firefly
    Urbana
    Heritage India
    Afterworlds Cafe
