Restaurant for an 19th birthday dinner in Venice

I'm going blind searching for a good traditional Venetian restaurant for our daughters 19th birthday on June 13, 2013. This is her first time in Italy. She loves pasta, most seafood and meat dishes. I'd like some place with some atmosphere but the most important criterion is the quality of the food. Price is not that important but I don't want to throw money away on sub-par food as I seem to do during my past visits to Venice. We are staying in an apartment in the campo san margarita but don't mind walking anywhere in the city.
Gratzie mille!

I would search this board for the many posts on Venice. Just about all the recommendations are for traditional Venetian food. As for 'atmosphere', what specifics are you looking for as most have a simple osterie/trattorie feel to them.
Below is a recent post on pasta in Venice:

Many Venetians (and many tourists, too) go to Fiaschetteria Toscana for celebrations. The menu is very traditional and a bit expensive.
      Here's their website:

It wouldn't be very convenient for you though.

Every time we've gone to Ai Gondolieri (multiple trips), the food and service have been impeccable. So far, our favorite restaurant in Venice. But it has been about four or five years since we were last there. They seem to still be getting good reviews on Trip Advisor.
