Dark Horse Riverhead

We tried Dark Horse when they first opened and enjoyed it completely. We had been back a few times after that and it was still exceptional.
Since we had not been back in a while my lovely wife suggested we have dinner there last night. Dinner was marvelous. I had a clam chowder that knocked my socks off. Similar to New England but not as thick with the most tender clam chunks ever. Wife had the special asparagus soup. Very tasty. We both ordered special entrees: striped bass for her and soft shell crabs for me. Tasty bass with fresh veggies all cooked perfectly. Tender sauteed crabs!! Yummy.
We were tempted to try one of their interesting desserts but we went with tradition: Snowflake for an ice cream cone.
Odd that I had not left a review before this so here it is!! Check it out before the Summer crowds descend on Riverhead.

Glad to know they're still up to par!
