Liver and Onions

I have looked on here for posts regarding this but they are quite dated, so I thought I'd start another thread. In your humble opinions, where is the best liver and onions these days in the Twin Cities Metro area ?

  1. I quite like the beef liver at the Monte Carlo. But, I'll confess, I have not eaten it anywhere else in the Twin Cities, so my local experience is severely limited.

    1. I can't say if it's the best or not, but my father orders liver and onions every time we go to Nye's Polonaise Room.

Lightly floured sautéed in clarified butter and served
with fried onions and applewood bacon, $17.95

      1. Red Stag used to do a superb one. It's off the menu.

Ely's East has had it and it was good...but it's a special.

I thought Jax had it, but looking at their menu, that looks like a big negative.

          1. FWIW Glockenspiel has them on their menu.
