I'm heading to the grocery store on my way home from work, and welcome any suggestions!

Thanks, all. I used bacon fat (and the bacon it rendered out of) to cook the B&S, and fried up some very tasty brats (can't remember the brand unfortunately, and the wrappings went out in the trash before I thought to look....)

Smokey picnic ham is my favourite meat to use in this sort of dish.

". The recipe below is for trinxat de la Cerdanya, the most commonly encountered kind -- a hearty mash of potatoes and cabbage, fried in a skillet-sized cake and garnished with fat back or smoky bacon."

I added diced chicken, cooked rice, & 5-spice powder to my cabbage & onion mixture tonight. From Irish to Chinese...ish.

I would eat bubble & squeak with just about anything...sausage, pork chops, lamb chops, steak, salmon...

I'd pan fry some good sausage or a chunk of country ham.
