Got the makings for Bubble and Squeak...any thoughts on a protein to serve with?

I'm heading to the grocery store on my way home from work, and welcome any suggestions!

  1. I'd pan fry some good sausage or a chunk of country ham.

    1. I would eat bubble & squeak with just about anything...sausage, pork chops, lamb chops, steak, salmon...

        1. I added diced chicken, cooked rice, & 5-spice powder to my cabbage & onion mixture tonight. From Irish to Chinese...ish.
