Anyone got a good Spicy Black Bean Recipe?

I often avoid them at restaurants and the frozen Morningstar ones at the grocery, however when I do eat them I am always amazed at how good they can be.

I found a recipe online that says it's similar to Morningstar's but thought I would ask for other recipe recommendations?

    I don't usually like Bittman, but his black bean burgers have been popular at my house. Not very spicy as written, but you could spike it with some hot paprika or cayenne.

      I use that one too and usually put a Serrano chile in with the other FP ingredients.

        I would suggest making the smaller patties - I made the bigger ones and there was just too much bean in each mouthful.

        Yes, sorry - didn't realize I left the burger part out - minor detail!

            I'm not familiar with Morningstar, but I usually just heat a can of black beans (with the liquid from the can) and add black pepper, cayenne, chili powder and cumin. Sometimes I add shredded sharp cheddar.
