How Bordeaux winemakers "prepare" their samples for "en primeur" tastings by journalists & trade
So everybody in the press gets Parker bottles, not just Parker.
On the other hand, I was at a tasting at Clos Saron a couple of weeks ago. Winemaker Gideon Beinstock specifically waited until everyone arrived to open the bottles to show they are high quality and he doesn't have problems with VA or other issues. His wines are pretty tight and could have benefited greatly from having been opened the night before.
