There was a discussion on this thread (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/902509) and you removed some posts where another poster and I were talking about a place that serves what the OP was looking for, but happened to be far from LA. In those posts you removed, he requested that I email him, so we could take our discussion off of the boards. I have checked his profile, and the email address is not listed there. Is it possible to retrieve those posts so that I may get the email information?

I understand why you'd like to keep the conversation on topic, which was in LA, but I notice another conversation has started about another city far from LA, but instead of removing that as well, you just left a friendly reminder. Why the uneven application of rules? Seems a bit heavy handed to me. Thank you!

Add your email to your profile and post a reply to them on one of their other threads (with a reply that is on topic for that thread and then add a brief "check my profile and email me" at the bottom of your post and then wait to hear from the other poster.

Even better, create a new topic on the right board for the restaurants you want to discuss and then leave a link on the LA board on the "Clam Pizza" thread to direct the new discussion in NJ over there.

If it's about restaurants and where to find good food you do a lot more people a much bigger "solid" if you discuss it "on board" but on the "right board" where others can benefit from it, rather than being done between just the two of you via email.

I'm aware of that, Servorg. However, if you followed the post, you would see that we were veering off topic by talking about both of us being from the same area. That's when I asked for an e-mail because it had nothing to do with food.
