Quieter restaurants in Ct either American or Italian

Can you all recommend quieter restaurants in CT. We went out with 2 ninety something year olds this past saturday night to Max Amore in Glastonbury and it was very noisy. They have good food but the noise level was just too high(and I have good hearing). Within 30 minutes or so of Meriden would be great. Thanks.

  1. It might be pushing the 30 minute limit, but maybe 2Hopewell in South Glastonbury? The tavern part of the restaurant is downstairs and is pretty noisy, but the upstairs dining room is usually fairly quiet.

    1. Piccolo Arancio, Cuginos, and Apricot's, all in Farmington, I think fit the bill.

      1. You might try Carmen Anthony's on the Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield. A bit pricey, but very quiet. I think the 90 somethings would appreciate the throwback atmosphere also.
