Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get some comfort food delivered to Cambridge and was hoping for a recommendation on a great bakery that delivers locally....?

    Hi Everyone,

I actually ended up ordering before I got a chance to read these responses. Thanks, tho, for the suggestions. @Allstonian, by comfort food I meant that I wanted to send food to someone who needed comforting and by that I meant something buttery and warm and sugary. Sorry it wasn't clear, but I didn't want to get too personal.

That said, I ended up ordering from Petsi's Pies in Somerville and they were really really awesome. They normally only deliver with 48 hours notice, but they had their delivery guy there within an hour and Talbot (sp?) was amazing in getting back to me about the delivery and taking my order. Based on the customer experience alone, I would recommend them to anyone! The recipients loved the food, so I think Petsi's is tasty too. I can't say enough about how sweet and thoughtful they were.

I'm slightly confused by your mentioning both "comfort food" and a bakery - what would you like to have delivered?

Lyndell's in Central Square delivers with a minimum order of $50, if that helps.

I would suggest starting with a site like Foodler and going from there. First see who actually delivers to your address (some places probably only deliver to certain parts of Cambridge) and then do some research on those places.
