We are going to DC for the weekend and are looking for a great meal Sunday evening to top it off. Willing to drive to the surrounding suburbs for a restaurant worth driving to. TIA.

Dairy? Meat? Steak? Chinese? Sushi? Pizza? A little tough to come up with "the best" without being more specific. Maybe what is meant is "What are some good kosher restaurants in metro Washington DC".

    I know, picky, picky.

Why travel when you have Eli's in Georgetown, a short metro trip away. It has been a couple of years since we have been in DC, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals there. Eli's was more than just a kosher place on vacation, we truly enjoyed it. We were there twice over two and half years, a few nights each , and enjoyed every single thing that the three of us had. Service was great , even in the midst of a snowstorm.

According to DH, it's Distrikt. It's the only place he'll take business guests. I've had their catering and I was pleased.

I like Eli's for meatloaf and mashed potatoes and anything they make themselves. The deli meat is the same stuff you can get at home.

I dont know much about the suburbs because I dont live there.
