Bottomless Mimosa Sunday Brunch (Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany)

We're looking for a place that has passable+ food and bottomless mimosas for Sunday Brunch. (Cafe Biere is out of the equation.) I've been searching around and don't come up with much - Cugini on Solano, District in Oakland - any suggestions are welcome.

  1. District's brunch buffet is decent. The food is all Southern, unlike their regular menu. Kind of a scene, though — who knew there were so many twenty- and thirty-somethings in Oakland who like to get dressed to the nines for Sunday brunch?

There's also the Terrace Room, at the Lake Merritt Hotel. Great view of the lake. The food is only just passable, though I did enjoy the basket of complimentary mini muffins.

    1. Caña in Oakland has bottomless mimosas, decent food, and live Cuban music. It's also quite a scene (but a little less so on Sunday because the farmer's market isn't going on). Make reservations, go early. There will be dancing.

What is the brunch like at Cana? I like the sandwiches on the cafe side, but the regular restaurant has just never seemed very appealing to me.

      2. why is cafe biere out of the equation

We're not going to want to wait for an hour-plus, and want a place where we'll be able to have a bit more "non-shouting" conversation.

if you can get there before 9, you'll have little to no wait ;-)
