  1. I really like the homemade tofu at Saigon. Also love the salt and pepper scallops.

Saigon's homemade doufu is delightful, in a subtle, understated way, like a perfectly cooked egg. the dishes made from fresh surf clams are quite good. their cooking in general has a little more flair and nuance than some of the other southern Chinese seafood restaurants (have not been to Koi Palace or eateries on the peninsula).

    2. We always get the wonton (shrimp) soup and duck tossed noodles at Daimo - very good.

      1. I like going to Saigon for dim sum, though I do like going to Daimo if I'm having some late-night cravings since they are open late.

          1. I think it mostly depends on what you feel like eating. It has been quite a few years since I've had a dinner banquet type meal at Daimo though it certainly serves those kinds of dishes. Mostly this is where I'd go for noodles or barbecue items from the front kitchen rather than ordering from the wok stations.

OTOH, I've had dim sum and a couple group dinners at Saigon since it reopened.
