Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ Joints - 2013 Edition
A simple list released today, the top 4 are due to be announced tomorrow I understand and a full article in the print edition of the magazine this month.
The work was overseen by the new BBQ editor of TM.
Only 18 repeats from the 2008 list!
Can only imagine the vitriol about to be spilled over this in San Antonio....The Granary and Jason Dady's Two Bros being the only in town to make the list. Don't see a lotta love for either among the local reviewing community. Persnally I think they're both good (not great) but folks here loves their Bill Millers mostly based on the QPR (QUANTITY, not quality, price ratio)
I just ran across this while perusing Texas area. I have read that Cooper's in Llano does not do their BBQ in the traditional "low and slow" manner. Read this in some book some guy wrote on TX BBQ. Their meat is more lile roasted than BBQ. "Zat so?"
