Plant - Asheville

Several months ago I received an e-mail from Plant saying something to the effect that to better serve their customers, they are expanding to serve dinner seven days a week and closing for weekday lunch. They will continue to serve brunch on the weekends.

Plant sent another mailing out last evening saying they are constantly growing and no longer serving weekend brunch.

So sad. What will they do next to better serve and grow?

  1. I was under the impression that it was the chef Jason's decision. Maybe he's just trying to prevent burnout, or decided he needed more time with family, etc. I know a lot of chefs that don't like doing maybe it was more of a personal decision than strictly a business decision. I'm glad to see them prospering at dinner - Pant is amazing!

It is disappointing for me since we were regular lunch/brunch patrons and there were some amazing items on their lunch menu that are no longer available. Rather than dining at plant twice a month it will now be twice a year as we tend to dine out at lunch.

I am glad that they are prospering to the point that they can cut their hours in half. Plant is an amazing place!

I will miss my favorite lunch/brunch spot.
