Sound yummy, but slightly time consuming. Would it be possible, do you think, to do everything up to the assembly the day before, then refrigerate till ready to assemble and bake?

    I assume you're talking about this recipe here?

    If so, I would only recommend making the filling the day before, then reheating it when you're ready to assemble. The crust is quite easy to stir together and do right before assembly. Let us know what you think of the recipe if you make it!

    1. This should probably be in homecooking. I made these mini tamale pies some months ago. I really liked the idea of these little tamales. The crust was like eating sand.

      1. You could make actual tamales- you wrap them in cornhusks or banana leaves and steam them.
