And no mention of Super Cocina

  1. There was no mention of Super Cocina because it obviously is too far north for the blogger. :)

    1. "WELL, there you go again..."

      Just kidding you, DD :)

      1. A very nicely done set of slides and great descriptions. Not to mention a great selection of places to go.

I've been looking for a good place to get red pozole, so I especially perked up when I saw the slide about Dona Maria's. I used to find good pozole rojo at Don Marios (but had to bring my own Mexican oregano), but that place is long gone.

So, my question is, does Dona Maria's also have pozole rojo, or just the guerro style? If not, is there somewhere else that you'd recommend for pozole rojo?

I like the pozole at Don Vincente's on Highland in National City. It's quite good and they are really nice.

Thanks! I took a look at the streetview and it definitely looks like "my kinda place"! I've added it to my (rapidly growing, thanks to you and others) list...

        2. This is a really great list. Thank you. I know where I'm eating lunch the next few days.

          1. I think it's a great list. Although, it's missing El Indio's...
