Recs for the Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo today?

Raleigh will have its first proper food truck rodeo today -- 40 trucks lining Fayetteville St. What are your favorite trucks AND even more important -- your fav dishes on those trucks?

I like Kokyu (sliders and tots),Porchetta, American Meltdown, Klausies and Parlour. That being said.. Food Truck Rodeos are a clusterbuck and not worth the ache and effort.

So we discovered. I ordered the Mama Duke's Gumbo (with lamb, beef, chicken & sausage). I thought it was wonderful -- really wonderful -- while DH thought it too greasy (but then he had the dregs). This line was the only one that was reasonable.

My DH waited in line for 45 minutes for a Barone's meatball hero. Bread was Wonder Bread soft. He liked the meatball, but I thought it was nothing special. I can't understand why vendors don't use crusty bread for saucy sandwiches. Any other bread ends up soggy. Pet peeve!

So, we ran out of time and didn't really get to sample much at all. Will we go again? I doubt it.

I'm glad to see follow up to this question - I was hoping you'd get more yesterday. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the local food trucks but like Chirba Chirba's veg dumplings, and the Crepe lady makes some very good crepes. That isn't much to add though! sorry.
