Weekend Breakfast at Stumbling Goat: An impressive Bloody Mary

Janer May 11, 2013 07:18 PM

Finally got around to checking out the Stumbling Goat's breakfast, a new venture for this neighborhood joint.

As usual, their cocktails were crazy impressive. My spouse had the perfectly balanced bloody mary--the spice, the acidity, the fire-roasted tomatoes...so delicious (I tasted to confirm). And the "breakfast milk punch" will set you on a good footing for the day with your calcium intake to boot.

The breakfast -- had eggs benedict, delicious housemade brown butter hollandaise was applied with a masterful restrained hand -- the dish was not drowning it (a pet peeve). Ham slice could have been cut a bit thinner for my taste but that's just me. I also had some yummy bites of the tender brioche French toast...and the bacon. Oh, the bacon. I could just sit there all day over their bacon and a gallon of milk punch. Did I mention the bacon?
