Lentil soup with sausage and sage

Hi guys,
Having a senior moment here. I am usually pretty obsessive about carefully saving good recipes, but I dropped the ball on this one. I made a really good lentil soup which included pork sausage and sage. I can't find the recipe and I want to make it tomorrow. Can anyone steer me to the recipe?

  1. Hi! Just in case you don't remember which recipe you followed.. I thought to send you this one:
    It has joined regular rotation for me. I usually stick pretty close to the recipe, but have subbed spinach for kale and added fire-roasted tomatoes in for the crushed tomatoes which it calls for.

      Hi Manhattanmom,
      I have made this SK soup and it is indeed excellent. But the one I am craving calls for sage. I was worried that it would taste too "Thanksgiving" but it was wonderful.
      I hate it when I can't find recipes I should have carefully filed away!!!

        gosh I've seen a lot of talk about kale of late.
        my work girlfriend is even a some sort of diet as she told me she's learning to like baked kale chips or friend kale chips, something like that. wonder how on earth you'd make a kale chip that'd be good for you. thinking she's on restrictions of some sort.

      2. I can't help you soccermom as I don't add either to my lentil soup.
        sage makes sense to me and that would be good in there.
        my version is too easy to even write down here.
        I love lentil soup :)

        1. DUH!!!!! It's not a lentil soup, it's a bean soup.

          Here's the recipe:

          This soup is truly outstanding. I make it with these modifications:
          **only two cans of low sodium chicken broth--but that's because I like really thick soups
          **red beans instead of kidney beans bc I hate kidney beans
          **I stir in spinach at the end bc I like to bolster soups with some healthy greens
