Pork Roll In Denver?

Heatherb May 10, 2013 02:53 PM

So Breakfast On The Edge, in Edgewater, serves pork roll (they call it "Taylor Ham"), and I hadn't seen it on any other menus since I left Jersey. Awesome - I get it every time I'm there. But I'm headed to Taita, a Peruvian restaurant tonight, and while browsing their menu today, I saw "Taylor Ham" on their breakfast menu.

Aside from the fact that I'm intrigued by the idea of a Peruvian restaurant in Denver serving an obscure regional breakfast meat from New Jersey, I'm wondering if anyone else knows of other restaurants serving pork roll on their menus.

Hadn't even heard of it before. Is it like Spam? Gonna have to try it. :)

I have never had spam, so I don't know. It's more like bologna, I think. But you wouldn't want to serve it raw!

Masterpiece Deli has Taylor Pork roll... They do a breakfast sandwich with it, and they may sell it by the pound.

OMG, I could do it at home on my grill!

Yup - Masterpiece Deli has it. I am originally from NJ and when I saw it on the menu - I was in Heaven (but for $6 or $8). There's a meat place over on 6th (near Fruition and Joy Liquors) and they used to sell Taylor Ham.
I am in Chicago right now - and we had an easy dinner of Taylor Ham tonight. And you can also order it from the Taylor Ham website - well, Jersey Pork Roll.
