Saveur's 'Ropa vieja' with rice
Any ideas on the rice prep with the 'Old Clothes' ?
If you're talking about the April 2012 recipe for ropa vieja, it looks like they served the beef with arroz amarillo. You simply saute your rice with sofrito and any seasoning in oil colored by annatto seed before cooking your rice in chicken stock. Goya also makes seasoning packets "con achiote" for this.
