Roast Goose in HKG -- is it safe w/ the Bird Flu scare going around?
I am travelling again to HKG end of this month and looking forward to eating my favorite -- Roast Goose. I am concerned a bit about the Bird Flu scare that is going around in the mainland. Have there been any mandate from the HKG government to control serving Roast Goose in restaurants? Is it safe?
In my last viist last year, we ordered Roast Goose and Suckling Pig from The Manor Seafood and brought both back to the Philippines. This year, we plan to do the same thing.
Has anyone tried Roast Goose and Suckling Pig from Man Ho Restaurant from Marriott Sky City?
Any recommendations on ROast GOose and Suckling Pig that can stand the test of a 2 hour plane ride?
Fowls fully cooked, as in the case of roast duck and goose, should be perfectly safe.
Goose at Man Ho was pretty good. For Suckling Pig, try Ming Court, Above & Beyond or Xin Dau Ji. The latter, you can order a whole one, uncut and take it home!!
For a more adventurous version, try the Whole suckling Pig stuffed with fried glutinous rice from Kimberley.
