Do you have a price range in mind? Any preferred cuisines? Where are your theaters? Some ideas:

    Le Bernardin
    The Modern
    Lamb's Club
    Toloache
    Esca
    Marseille
    Danji
    Szechuan Gourmet
    DB Bistro Moderne
    Sugiyama
    Kyotofu
    Five Napkin Burger
    Don Antonio

      Thanks for the list. Our 7pm show is on 44th bet/ 7th & 8th; the others are on 47th near 8th, and 42nd bet/ 7th & 8th.

We like French food, seafood (but not sushi), interesting Italian, and some ethnic foods- not Japanese or Thai. Price range up to $30 entrees Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with the suggestions Lacrosse already gave you?

But you want more suggestions. Seems to me, you have a bunch to work with, but I and others would be happy to try to think up more ideas if you could tell us why or what kinds of suggestions in particular you want more of, keeping in mind that especially on the day with the 7 o'clock curtain time, you have to have an early dinner. Le Bernardin is beyond your price point but many of Lacrosse's other suggestions are not.

Cheeryvisage's Times Square list is a good starting point.

The 7pm curtain is going to be tougher, you'll probably want to be as close to your theater as possible. What shows are you seeing? If you can list out the intersections/cross streets of each theatre, we can help more.

You might want to consider Vice Versa at 51st bet. 8 & 9 which opens at 5:30. It specializes in Italian food and is a charming venue not too far from your 47th near 8th show.
