Does anyone know where I can get this? I asked in Turco's today and they thought only Arthur Avenue. Thanks!

H-Mart (north enough for you?) on Central Avenue has it.

Cole's Market (Montrose) might be able to get it if you call ahead.

When I've seen it at H Mart, it's always been cut into slices. (Although I guess you could ask them if they have any uncut pieces.) For slabs of pork belly, Golden Village Asian market, further down Central Ave in Scarsdale, always has them.

Dante's Italian Deli in White Plains was able to get me a pork belly a few months ago. Definitely need to call ahead.

Forget all the groceries and markets. Support local business. Go straight to the only working farm in Westchester: Hemlock Hill Farm. Call them to place an order and will be ready in hours or next day. You can even specify how fatty you want your slab.

Nice! I was also thinking of John Boy farm. He sometimes has it too, but it's hit or miss.

I just asked one of the butchers at HMART about whole pork belly. They have it every day you just have to ask for it.

Went to H-Mart today, though I forgot you said they had the whole pork belly - next time. I got it cut into two slabs. It should work. Thanks for the tip. What a place! I've never been there before and, sadly, I didn't have time to really look around but I was so impressed by the produce - types and sizes of the bundles. I can't wait till I'm down in that area again - I'll set aside plenty of time to play!!

My son and I tell people to expect their first visit to H-Mart to be like going to a museum, with maybe a stop at the giftshop (the food court or the prepared food area). Sorry I didn't realize you hadn't been there before!

You're welcome... If you can possibly swing it, it's a much more enjoyable experience during off hours.

Yes - that's my M.O. I always go off hours. Today I was there late morning - no problems. Can't wait to go back.

I was in la placita market in peekskill last weekend for the first time and they had more pork belly than you could eat in a lifetime. I haven't been, but if it's closer, there's also a la placita mini mart in ossining that my bbq friends swear by.
