Sat night dinner - Jarvis/Wellesley area?

Fellow Hounds... looking for a casual, tasty spot for dinner with the folks this Sat. night. Any cuisine works as long as it is not "deep fried" as they are "sort of" health conscious (LOL)

Willing to do a short drive...

Any suggestions?

  1. You're not too far from Kingyo. Tasty *and* they take reservations.

Thanks to all for the suggestions so far... T.O. Jo and child re: Kingyo... any recommendations re: their menu?

I haven't tried any of the sushi offerings, but everything from the rest of the menu ranged from good to very good. It's a good place to just order a bunch of stuff to share and sample, and then re-order the dishes that you really like. I particularly liked the tantan ramen, even though it was quite salty. And the kakuni don is delicious (but when is braised pork belly not delicious?).

They also have a homemade ginger ale that is incredibly refreshing.

    2. Pantheon on the Danforth is a short drive from Jarvis and Wellesley. Lots of healthy options.

      1. Libretto Danforth. reservations online.

        1. Lola's between Isabella and Charles on Church St. They're more known for the brunch but started doing dinner last year. It's really good. They take reservations but generally it's not super busy.
