Place to eat near Old Stone House, Brooklyn?

We're planning to go to a concert at the Old Stone House (on 3rd St. between 4th & 5th Aves.) tomorrow (Sunday) and would like to eat dinner afterward. My friend has a bad leg, so we'd like a place very close by. Not expensive (not more than $25. p.p., not including drinks or tax) and can be American or ethnic, preferably not too spicy or exotic. We like Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, Mexican, etc.
Thanks a lot.

  1. Maybe Blue Ribbon on 5th Ave. Real good fried chicken, and many other dishes. i think it is 4 blocks from there.

Getting out of Blue Ribbon for $25 per person would be tricky.

      Pork Slope would work.

      ETA.

I am slow today. Bonnie's would be my choice.

    2. Yeah, I think $25 pp rules out places like Stone Park and Blue Ribbon. Pork Slope is very tasty food, but it's a little "junky." Whenever I go there I usually feel like I've just eaten an entire pound of potato chips. Though I must admit, their Irish Nachos are a stroke of genius. Get the small, not the large. Seriously. I don't care how hungry you think you are.

People don't mention it very often, but AOC Bistro is pretty nice (it's on 5th ave and Garfield, 1 block north of 1st st). It's nothing super special, but at your price point it is certainly "pretty good." We usually go there and cobble together a meal from apps, oysters, mussels, or something like that. Their few pastas are also moderately priced. The place has a nice vibe. We usually sit at the bar.

      1. Surfish Bistro (Peruvian); Fifth Avenue between 4th/5th Sts., right across the street from the Old Stone House

Ooh, Juanita, Surfish is a great idea!

Another possibility is The Chip Shop, if you like fish and chips.

        2. 9 blocks away on 4th Avenue is Ghenet, which is good Ethiopian.
