Best No-reservation Japanese Restaurants in Tokyo

  • 3

I'd like some suggestions for particularly good japanese (sushi, ramen, unagi, soba, etc) restaurants that don't require reservations, are reasonably quick in-and-out, and perhaps have flexible hours -- with usual wait times for a seat < 15 mins. price isn't much of a concern. Neighborhoods i'm interested in (in order of importance to me):

Akihabara
Ginza
Shinbashi
Nagatocho
Shibuya
Shinjuku
Ueno
Harajuku

Thanks!

sorry i was unclear -- i was just looking for 4-5 restaurants (total) that are convenient to pop into and better than what i would just stumble upon. most places discussed on the board require reservations, or have long lines.

but maybe this is too general of a question?

    2. thanks. I'm also finding the book "Food Sake Tokyo" helpful for identifying interesting food-related places to just stop into in each neighborhood.
