there was a "huge" Korean market that was off of the Florida turnpike, pines and 441 area.

they made fresh, tubs/jars of kimchi.

does anybody know if they moved?
or are they done?

I AM CRAVING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF KIMCHI!

does anybody know where i can find them, or another location that makes fresh kimchi?

i miss the large amounts of fresh homemade kimchi and the price was GREAT!

Thanks in advance.

Odd assortment of kimchees all the way to the right when you walk in?
Extremely organized store and helpful staff?
Indian market right around the corner?

If yes, I believe this is the one

    Oriental Mart
    4850 N University Dr
    http://www.orientalmart.net/html/inde...

I was there about a month ago and it was very open

it wasnt orientalmart, but i will have to give it a try.

do you know if they make the kimchi there at the store?

the location i was going to made it there in the back back of the store, it was a pretty big shopping center as far as asian grocery stores go.

they too had a huge assortment of kimchi in gallon tubs for about $10 for the cabbage kimchi

The place Icantread mentioned is also called Kim & Lee Oriental Market (954-747-7740). They have a case full of different types of kimchee in big and medium sized jars that do not have labels or company names. When you finish a jar, wash it out and return it and they give you money off the next jar.

            Kim & Lee Oriental Market
            4850 N University Dr
            Lauderhill, FL 33351

It's south of Commercial on University. If you're familiar with Gaboose Korean Restaurant (4850 N University Dr Lauderhill), it's a little south of there on the east side of University.

If you are referring to the place on 441, one block north of Hollywood Blvd on the west side of the street, it appeared on my credit card statements as "Seoul Food", and indeed the owners did sell and moved to Georgia.

But the Kim chi was always better a block south in the strip mall on the SW corner of Hollywood/441 at Asia Supermarket. Owners also super friendly and helpful.

I don't know what they put in that kimchi, but it must be some sort of controlled substance! Man, is it good! I mix it with some fresh red cabbage, thinly sliced, for taco filling.

The goods are in the refrigerated case in the back. They make it themselves.

There are two Asian food stores in the strip mall, this is the one closest to the big porn store.

They also have good prices on hot chili oil.... try making popcorn with that!

They still have a korean market off of hollywood blvd that's great. Seoul Food was def the best but the kimchi at this location comes second place. It's called Asian American food mart 118 S State Rd 7, Hollywood, FL 33023
