Suggestions convenient to Riverplace Hotel

Looking for dinner suggestions convenient to Riverplace Hotel. Searched boards and last found the question addressed in 2007. Any newer ideas for a hungry traveler? We eat everything, trendy is good, love regional and devour both 4-legged beasts and seafood. Thanks for the help!

  1. Veritable Quandary, Nel Centro.

    1. Any clarification on what "near" means? Walking distance? If so, what is a reasonable walking distance for you?

I guess about a 15-20 minute walk. Also, I haven't looked into public transit yet, but we might be able to do a straight route (15 minutes?) somewhere that way, too. Sorry for the vagueness -- our trip details are still coming together. Thanks!

Higgins is 10 minutes walk. Streetcar will take you through the downtown area.

I suggest you do some research. There is a wealth of information on visitor inquiries, posts, and reports. Just scroll back over the past three months. Then come back and ask more specific questions and you'll get the help you need.

      2. If you are willing to walk up to 15-20 minutes, that could be up to a mile away, depending on your walking speed. We live downtown and routinely think nothing of walking that far for dinner, so if this also describes you, then you have many options in addition to those already mentioned. Little Bird and Gruner, for example are both about a mile away. Imperial would be a bit closer. Departure and Urban Farmer are near Pioneer Square.

In terms of "convenience", closer is probably better, and VQ, Nel Centro, Higgins, and maybe Raven & Rose probably fit the bill.
