Czehoski on a coupon

I made a mistake. I thought that Czehoski was a place with "with it" food. It is barely above just grub. But what grub!
Shamelessly bad.
Dishes don't correspond with the description on the menu.
Extraordinary long waits between items.
Screwed up orders.
Overpriced.

I could elaborate at length , but what's the point?
How can food be so screwed up in Toronto as sophisticated as it is in 2013?

There is a bright side though. It seems that the coupon covers booze. So you don't have to eat.

If you must go - they have changing specials on some nights. So Wednesday night is half- price wine night. Pick a good night.

the one time i have been there a few years ago, the food was beyond bad, and i have never been back.

When they first opened ('07 maybe?), the food was phenomenal. I remember having an amazing 3 course prix fixe with smart wine pairing. Since the change of ownership (4 years ago maybe), it's a completely different story.
I made the mistake of doing a winterlicious dinner there last year. I thought it was a fluke. Apparently, my burnt halibut (sent back once; I gave up the second time after the waitress grunted at me) was just tip of the iceberg.

The rooftop is nice for drinks in the summer but that's were it starts and ends!

I stopped going when I found out who the new owner is.

My experience almost exactly, just without the "screw up" part.

I got 2 coupons, after going there the first time wondered what I could do with the second one coz I'd never go back. Luckily found someone who loves going there for brunch so was able to sell the coupon.
