  1. Not the best, but not bad if crisped in an oven, are those from La Brea bakery. They are available at Gelson's, but for 50 you'd probably have to order them in advance.

    1. I have found ones that I have been very pleased with at:

      La Maison du Pain
      5373 W Pico Blvd
      Los Angeles, CA 90019
      (323) 934-5858

Also, I am fond of the small baguettes that are used for the sandwiches at:

      Proof Bakery
      3156 Glendale Blvd
      Los Angeles, CA 90039
      (323) 664-8633

I have been able to buy one or two that have not been made into their sandwiches, you may have better luck with your larger order.

      1. Possibly best if you like the crispy outsie-chewy inside kind, but definitely the cheapest per -- Bay Cities on Lincoln in Santa Monica.
