John Jeffries in Lancaster

We'll be in Lancaster for a weekend bicycling to celebrate a milestone birthday and are looking for a nice place for dinner on a Saturday night in June. We lived in Lancaster for 11 years but now live in Philadelphia so we have lots of options for fine dining closer to home. We don't eat pork or shellfish and I'm a non-red-meat eater. Not into "way-overpriced" small portions.I've looked at what others on CH have had to say and have explored other options for Lancaster and the environs; John Jeffries seems the best option. Any thoughts?

  1. John Jeffries is very good. If that's your choice, you might want to check Restaurant.com to see if there are any coupons available. Even better than John Jeffries, IMHO, is Ma(i)son, which is a farm-to-table BYO. I'd add Gibralter as a not-too-distant third place contender.

    1. I agree with what CindyJ had to say. You can't go wrong with Jeffries, Ma(i)son (my favorite as well), or Gibraltar. You might also want to consider stopping by Pour on Prince for a before or after dinner drink and snack. And, be sure to stop by Carmen and David's creamery for some ice cream.
