Near Radio City Music Hall

janetldd May 1, 2013 01:42 PM

I am looking for kosher restaurants near Radio City Music Hall. One needs to be for a quick bite to eat in between my daughters 2 graduations and the other one is for dinner after her big graduation.

I'm a big fan of Soom Soom in that area for your quick bite. For the nicer dinner, any midtown restaurant should be close enough. Les Marais, Abigaels, and Solo should all work depending on what you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend.

Falafel place on 46th between 5th and 6th.

Here is their menu. Note, there is not a lot of seating, just a couple stools.

Soom soom has a really good falafel.

For the big dinner, La Marais or Solo. Both are outstanding restaurants and nice spaces for a special dinner.

I would choose Le Marais 99 times out of a 100 over W&L.

Honestly, the last few times at le Marais, I was not impressed. The service was awful- they ignored us b/c we didn't order alcohol, our food was served cold, and we were crammed in next to a very large (and loud) party.

Not saying wolf and lamb is great...but they have a larger menu and its a little more casual

That's too bad. I've never been impressed at W&L, though.

I haven't been in a while, but my husband takes clients often. According to him, it's a solid menu with efficient service

I also was going to suggest Wolf and Lamb, or Cafe K next door for dairy. both on E. 48 between
        5 th and Madison.

          There's a Mendy's in Rock Center, on 48th.

If you want to venture on foot a bit more north (7 blocks), I'd also suggest Cafe Classico. http://www.cafeclassicotogo.com/
