Green Mountain Farms Greek Cream Cheese
I'm always delighted when two CH's can have such varying experiences over the same food product.
Not only did I not find this alternative to cream cheese not sweet, the nutrition differences as outlined in the NYT blog piece appeal to me.
I've continued to buy GMF Greek CC and have use it as is, in baking, in dips, to thicken a basic sauce and no one I've served this to has missed the Philly brand.
I don't even know where to start here...
FIrst off, I never review things online but I HAD to do a search for this cream cheese yogurt cuz I was DISAPPOINTED with it cuz the predominant flavor is SWEETNESS. Cream cheese should be savory and have a little acidity to it. If ur not sure what I'm talking about that's cuz you generally don't decent cream cheeses in the supermarket--go to NYC and find a highly-rated bagel shop. GREEN MOUNTAIN FLAVOR SCIENTISTS: get ur fucking shit together and stop forcing all this shitty corn syrup-y crap on us.
Even if I had no expectatons of this tasting like cream cheese, it was STILL a disappointing eating experience.

Yes, I've been enjoying it for about six months. My local Stop & Stop carries it for $2.59. I posted a CH thread about this brand of Greek cream cheese but didn't get much response to it at the time.
I love the tang and the texture so much I stopped buying traditional cream cheese in favor of this brand. I especially like it as an alternative to goat cheese on a toasted bialy with lox or white fish.
Maybe now that the product has been around a while you'll rec' more comments than I did.
I really like the Greek cream cheese.
