Name this cookie!!!

Motosport Apr 30, 2013 09:34 AM

Back in the day there was a cookie I loved and can not remember the name.
It was pretty simple. Two round vanilla flavored cookies with marshmallow in the middle. The cookies were on the soft side, not crunchy.

    They were called Marshmallow Sandwiches.

No mention of chocolate in the OP.

I think they're the Marshmallow Sandwiches. The trouble is I remember the cookie but I don't remember the name being Marshmallow Sandwiches...

I don't remember that being the name either, though they were by Nabisco.

My mom would write "sandwich cookies" on the shopping list for my dad, and, as I always went grocery shopping with my dad, it has remained stuck in my memory, all these years later. Don't ask me what I had for dinner last night, though.

Could you be thinking of Mallomars?

Oh, I remember Mallomars. Used to love them as a kid.

You can still buy Mallomars but not the marshmallow cookies.

Yes, I remeber those. They were Nabisco but I can't remember what they were called. They were good, though!

You're welcome. They were one of my favorite cookies when I was a kid, and I would love to hear if you come up with something similar.

                      Some more discussion here:

This is great, thanks! There was another cookie I loved as a kid. Arnolds (the bread guys) made cookies and they came in a bag like Pepperidge Farm. These were orange with orange chips. So good!
