Edison to go?

I am going to be in Edison this coming weekend during the day for a conference. Afterwards I would like to stop and get some ethnic takeout to bring home with me -- traveling about 30 to 40 minutes still in NJ. I've eaten at King's Village (but never taken out) and Dragon Palace.

What other places in the area would you recommend I visit (and what should I get?) Can soup dumplings travel?

Thanks for the help!

  1. Depending on what part of Edison you will be on, the north west part of town (Oak Tree Road & Wood Ave.) is the heart of ethnicity for the town. Mostly all Indian there are a variety of places to choose from. Unfortunately that's not my thing so I don't have any first hand suggestions for you. Good luck!

I will be at the New Jersey Convention Center.

    2. I would like to suggest that some of the best takeout in Edison isn't from restaurants. Instead, take a look at the selection at Kam Man for Chinese and Super H Mart for Korean (for example)

And while I can't speak for the rest of the world, Edison's soup dumplings don't travel well at all. Luckily, we've got plenty of other items to choose from.
