Dinner in Fort Langley, B.C.

  • 5

What do folks recommend for the area close by this small town (not to be confused with "Langley, B.C")?

Looking for mid range price, not heavy into beef or steak. Innovative, locally-sourced ingredients type of place would be great. We love seafood and Asian food.

  1. Sorry to say but as far as I have been able to tell there is nothing, absolutely nothing I would recommend in Fort Langley.

*Edit: After taking a look at their website (http://www.1827.ca/) it appears they have a new menu and look a bit better than the last time we were there. I won't go so far as to recommend it yet, but I guess don't read too much into my previous opinion. It might be worth a try? Good luck lol.

Walnut grove is about 10 mins away as well, just turn West down 88th and follow it to about 202nd to 204th-ish and you will find pretty good Thai (Bangkok Kitchen) and Vietnamese (Mai's). There is also Korean and East Indian that aren't too bad. Nothing seafoody I would recommend though.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, I wasn't very keen to repeat at that Bistro, assuming I'm thinking of the right place. It has been 5 years since I went down to visit.

I like the rec for Mai's. We don't seem to have tasty Vietnamese food here anymore. All the good cooks must have retired or found better jobs.

What's the Korean place called? That might be fun to try. We'll be around for 2 dinner meals.

Chamnamoo Korean, just directly on the other side of 88th from Mai's actually. Literally across the street :) It's fairly authentic and quite tasty as long as you like real korean and not Canadian korean. I can't even identify many of the small plates of pickles etc. :)

The "best" Chinese food I had in all of Langley was at Flourishing on Fraser Hwy (in City of Langley, not Towship of Langley) which is about 15 mins drive from Ft. Langley, along Glover Road:

Don't compare them to similar ones in Richmond, Burnaby or Vancouver. But for what it is, Flourishing is more than serviceable out in the Valley :-)

      3. There's the Lampliter Gallery Cafe. I had casual lunch there once (kinda pricey for lunch but it was alright). So I can't speak for their dinners:
