Taking a piece of Paris with me before heading to Athens
Paris will be the first leg of my trip across Europe. We wil be arriving in Athens early evening and will be staying at the airport hotel rather than getting into downtown Athens.
I want to bring some food with me to Athen to have for dinner when we arrive that evening.
My question is what are some limitation in regards to food between the two countries. I would love to have some baguettes/meat/cheese/bottle of wine to take away to Athens in our carry on, I'm just not sure whether that's permitted. If I had to put it in our luggage and check it in, will it survive the trip? We are flying in mid-May, so not sure if the hot weather will be a factor.
If anyone here has done so in the past please let me know how I should approach this and perhaps even some recommendations to what I should get as my last memory of Paris.
Thanks in advance.
