Okanagan wines by the glass in Vancouver?

westcoastjd Apr 27, 2013 08:44 PM

Where are some good wine bars or restaurants where a person can find a variety of Okanagan wines by the glass? Visited a number of Okanagan wineries a few years back and am looking for a place to find some of those that I liked best (Tinhorn Creek, Black Hills, Hainle, among others) and for some new finds. I prefer reds / roses. I will be staying downtown but am happy to head elsewhere that public transit can take me.

I looked at La Quercia (which seems fabulous but seems to focus on international wines) and Salt (has a few by the glass but not many).

Any suggestions much appreciated.

We had some fun at Tap and Barrel recently; located at Olympic Village, a short CanadaLine train from downtown. http://tapandbarrel.com/barrel/
Personally, I think the concept of wine on tap is pretty cool.

Several of the VQA Stores have tastings on Saturday afternoons.

Vancouver Urban Winery has several on tap..

I don't know how many wineries they feature but both Edible Canadian Bistro on GI and Forage on Robson in the Listel Hotel feature BC wines on tap.

Griffens have tasting flights with local wines. Not the best selection though.
