Stumped - casual, no reservations Saturday night?

I'm currently in town for work, staying in the Pentagon City area. I'm meeting up with a friend for dinner tomorrow and I can't figure out where we should go.

The main problem is that tomorrow is Saturday but I don't know exactly when I'll be done with work, so I can't really make reservations. Does anyone have an idea for somewhere fun, casual, and delicious that we can go to without reservations? Preferably somewhere in DC or Arlington near the yellow or blue line.

Any cuisine is fine, though I have reservations at Rasika and Zaytinya later in my trip, so not Indian or Mediterranean. I'd prefer something affordable - 'cheap eats', ethnic, casual restaurants are all fine.

Thanks for any insight!

  1. There is a large, growing Bolivian population in Arlington. Sibarita is a very good Bolivian place. They specialize in silpancho, I recommend the beef version. A good silpancho is pounded so thin, it becomes translucent. If you see tongue on the menu, get that. Also very good soups here, either the sopa de mani or on special we had the sopa de trigo which is also very good. About a fifteen minute walk from the Clarendon Metro, Orange Line.

They have an online menu, but it is not the full menu.

    1. Well, if you go to DC, try Matchbox (Capitol Hill).

Unlike the Chinatown location, they don't take reservations.
