Tried this place out a few weeks ago. It is a bit out of the way for us, but we had a cake to pick up at the old Westhampton Pastry Shop. So we tried a good cross section of different dishes. it is a relatively new Gastropub near University of Richmond area, at 7007 Three Chopt (the plaza at the corner of Three Chopt and Patterson

The duck wings special app was very good. So crispy reminiscent almost of Korean Fried Chicken.

I also enjoyed the corndogs, the coating was very crisp, almost like a beer batter. I would bet they use vodka in the batter to prevent gluten formation, and maybe a bit of baking powder to get the slight flaking effect. The dogs themselves were flavorful, which I did not expect from beef dogs (I prefer pork/beef blends, generally, since my time up north)

I also enjoyed their take on a fish club sandwich, was beer battered on a brioche roll, with lettuce and tomato, a tasty sauce, and instead of bacon, pork belly. I forget what kind of fish it was, but it was pretty good.

Everything was good and servings were large so we took home a lot of leftovers.

The beer and drink selection was good, as befitting of a gastro pub

I think we will be back some time, next time we are in the area especially.
