theeskimo07 Apr 25, 2013 12:16 AM

I have a flight out of BWI on a Sunday morning and am looking for recommendations for places to eat breakfast in between DC and the airport.

Well backing out the hour or so that you need to get through check-in and security (I would allow more, personally), the time to park or return a rental car if you have one, that means you need to get to the airport 90 minutes before your flight. So figure no more than 30 minutes to drive to the airport.

Now I am assuming that by "morning" you mean no later than noon. Meaning you need to be at the airport no later than 10:30.

Say an hour to order and eat. Now you need a place that is open by 9, 9:30. There's a place in Jessup called Frank's Diner but people do not have good things to say about the food. There's an Eggspectations in Columbia but leave extra time as there are usually lines. There are several hotels and if they have restaurants, they'll be serving breakfast.

At the same exit that Frank's Diner is at is R&R Tacqueria, and they do breakfast. Only a few barstools to eat at, but the Huevos con Chorizo is pretty good.

I looked up the site and it appears that they have moved into nicer digs. Hopefully the food is still as good or better.

That is their second location, in White Marsh.

I recently had a 6 AM flight from BWI. My girlfriend got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich from the airport Potbelly. I had a couple of bites, and it was okay.

Mimi's in Columbia/Elkridge has a nice breakfast menu. There's always the Silver Diner in BWI.
