I ordered some through Amazon and the date on it is 2011. Since it is a powder will this hurt me?

    Welcome to chow!

PB has thier own website. I am baffled what makes you ask the question here.

    According to them:

<<What is the shelf life of PB2?
Unopened, your PB2 is good for 10 to 12 months. Once opened, please consume within 4-6 months and store in a cool, dry place.>>

So I would say no and Amazon should take it back.

You can also contact them directly:

No, but they shouldn't be selling you outdated product.

Although I have not received already-outdated grocery products from Amazon, I find that they are frequently very close to sell-by/best by date and no longer order amounts that I won't use up within a few months.

A friend buys PB2 regularly and raves about it.

I really like it. I put it in smoothies or mix in Greek yogurt. I just buy it at my local kroger.
To the Op yeah I would contact Amazon. Or even the PB2 company.
