Zagat lists 9 things to try in Boston....

Has anyone had any of them? If so, any worth the trip or over hyped? The bubbly at Lincoln sounds like a pretty solid deal.

That list is, for the most part, hilariously misguided. Particularly the inclusion of the average-at-best Cupcake City, which smacks of "We need a food truck! And a cupcake place! Oh here, this will do..."

      Hilariously misguided indeed.

I agree that list doesn't have a single winner on it, "hilariously misguided" is about right.

I have enjoyed Tryst before for informal dining, but that "twice fried" chicken also looks like it was fried one too many time (cut and left out too long before clicking the pic?). They could have done a better job of the photography too as well as actually eating the food they are promoting, looks just like folks working to a deadline.

The interior of that chicken looked like a cake doughnut ....

Usually these random links are, I figured as much. I wanted to post anyways, just to see CH folks beat it up.

The caramel lobster dish from Nix's Mate was one worthwhile inclusion. That dish makes no sense on paper, but it is delicious. Now that Nevins has moved on to Local 149, I expect to see a version of it there, too.

The slideshow actually lists it at Local 149.

Make sure to try a bottle of Prosecco. They put it in a bucket and everything!

The Baconator is a gimmick, nothing more. There's a reason that burger patties made from ground bacon aren't setting the world on fire -- they don't taste much like bacon, and are rather chewy and dry.

Oh lord, they got the title wrong. It should have been something like "9 Trendy Things that We Heard were in Boston (at least for now)."

Once again, Zagat rises to it's uselessness.
