Even though it was freezing, just came back from first time in NOLA and wish I was still there! Ate at Arnauds, great experience, fantastic oysters. Butcher for lunch, muffeletta good, but Italian cold cut was awesome. Dinner at Borgne, best meal of the trip. Duck poppers were so good and service was top notch. Next day, went to Big Fisherman for crawfish. Some other posts on other sites talked about a park behind a grocery with tables where you could eat. Found the park, but there were no tables. The weather was sunny so we just picnicked on the grass and ate our crawfish. Also ate great Vietnamese food and great dessert at Sucre on Magazine Street. There should be more discussions on this board about Sucre, the gelato was better than what I have eaten in Italy, and great cake. I wish it were on the east coast! We were supposed to eat at Mr. B's that night but we were so stuffed with crawfish, boudin and all the other goodies we went to Domenica for pizza and beer, which was so good. I'm a true John Besh believer - his restaurants are so good and top notch. I'm already planning my next trip to your great city.
