Torta Della Nonna

Sugarsnap Apr 23, 2013 12:35 AM

Does anyone know of a good restaurant or bakery that sells this Italian classic? I don't like the one at Mozza because of the goat cheese. I would love to get one for Mother's Day. Preferably on the Westside of town.

It appears on this bakery's holiday menu list, but I would call and ask before driving out to them.

I found one very old post about this dessert from Giovanni's in Culver City. Don't know if they still make it or if it's still good if they do: http://www.giovannis.0catch.com/ and this place in Los Feliz http://trattoriafarfalla.com/ (again, never tried it) also offers it on their regular menu from what I read.

Angelini Osteria serves one but I've never tried it.
