Dinner for an ex ATLer

h

spent a few years in ATL and coming back with the fam and looking for a special occasion dinner spot

Probably can't do a tasting menu because some are picky and have dietary restrictions, so Bacchanalia is out. Where should we go?

Old favorites that I'm considering are:

JCT Kitchen
ESS
Restaurant Eugene

Any other good suggestions? Anything new open in the last year?

I like all three of your choices...depends what you want.
The Spence (Richard Blais) is new, and I liked it.
The Optimist is new, although I thought it was a bit pricey for what I got.

    Aria
    Kyma
    Woodfire Grill

we ended up going with miller union and JCT

don't care about the optimist, they fly the oysters in from where we live now

never tried Aria or Kyma. Did enjoy Woodfire Grill though.

Thoughts on Miller Union? My dinner there was less than stellar. I hear it's better for lunch.
